Madonna, a fashion icon for such brands as Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton, is teaming up with her daughter Lourdes to sell a  new line of clothes and accessories at Macy’s department stores.
The line, called Material Girl, is a newly formed venture with Iconix Brand Group Inc., which will produce the clothes under a licensing agreement.

Macy’s will sell the exclusive new line of teen clothing in all 200 stores and online starting  in August, to coincide with back-to-school shopping. The collection will be moderately priced from $12 to $40.
Madonna has also signed on to develop additional brands through MG Icon in the future.
The collection will feature jewelry, footwear and handbags. Designs were inspired in collaboration with Madonna, daughter Lourdes and Iconix Brand Group’s fashion department, the company said.
The Iconix Brand Group owns, licenses and markets a growing portfolio of consumer brands including Candies’, Joe Boxer, Danskin and Roca Wear.

Madonna was recently featured in Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection, which emphaszes Mediterranean heritage and classic Italian sensuality. Before that Madonna was the face and body of Louis Vutiton for two seasons. She was replaced this year by model Lara Stone.
