Cool and Simple Flawless Foundation Ideas for Perfect Looking Skin

By K. Moehr

1. For a sheer look, dilute your foundation with two drops of water for normal skin; toner for dry skin; Witch Hazel for oily skin. Mix it with your your foundation before applying.

2. Mix a little concealer into your foundation. Apply this mixture over your foundation and just on spots that require more coverage. Lightly powder. This blend will give you good coverage each time.

3. Stick foundation: Easy but too heavy? Just mix the stick foundation with a dot of moisturizer on the back of your hand. You'll still get the coverage that you like, without the heavy mask look. Keep it even fresher by applying only where needed (under the eyes, around the nose, etc.) Spot apply it just where needed. Set with a touch of loose powder and your look just went from opaque to sheer.

4. Take your favorite bronzer stick or liquid, and put a little on your fingers. Add a drop of moisturizer. Blend and apply on your cheeks, nose, etc. This gives you a nice, light bronzed but believable glow.

5. Have your tried mixing foundation with powder for a super oil sopping blend? Plus it makes a nice matte coverage that lasts.

6. If you're super oily, try this trick: Dust your face with powder before you put on your foundation. The powder will help your foundation not turn into an oil slick on your face and it will last longer.

7. Model's Secret: Models don't all have that great skin. Besides airbrushing, you can get a nice, photography-level coverage with this tip: Apply your liquid foundation as normal, but use double the amount you do usually. Get a folded tissue and press it lightly around the face to absorb some of the extra foundation and oil. The result is a high-coverage look that contains pure pigment and is photo-ready.
