The fall/winter seasons are coming and it is time for fashion scarves. As a beautiful accessory, scarves provide both warm-keeping and fashion functions. That is why women love scarves so much.
In the current market, there are not only traditional long shape scarves, but also thicker super long style and also elegant shawl style scarves. Each scarf has its own style and fashion feature. The most important part is that scarves add more lively and amusing to your winter fashion. You have no more scare for the boring winter days any more with the fashion scarves.
The long size scarves are always a favorite for European. They are happy to wear a warm scarf around their necks layer upon layer. Besides warmth, it can also bring you a childish interest. This kind of scarf looks beautiful if go with a sweater. However, fur coats or sweaters with complex patterns are not good choices for those scarves. If that, you look cumbersomely dressed.
The elegant shawl style scarves exhibit women femininity and elegance. Those scarves can be easily transformed with many patterns. You can either simply wear around your neck or just casually cross in the front. Both ways make you unique. Also, a unique pin could add more charming for you. Among the clothing you could pick, skirt dresses are absolutely perfect choices.
The slender long scarves are one of the most traditional style and also the easiest matching model. You can just randomly wrap around your neck and see how great you can be. From the matched dress, both light and deep colors work fabulously. There are tons of ways to wear slender long scarves. For example, a necktie knot is a great choice for scarf tying. It is the same as necktie tying. If you don’t know how to do that, ask your husband or your male friends.
Another important scarf style is square scarves in the scarf family. By size, the square scarves can be divided into two classifications: small square scarves and big square scarves. The scarf materials cover a wide range including wool, cotton, polyester, silk, and more. The detailed classification also includes whether scarves have embellishment or whether they have tassels. It has many ways to wear your square scarves, such as head wear or down triangle. More and more people like square scarves and even men are very cool with square scarves.
After you find your favorite scarves, another question is how to wear scarves. Actually the answer could be infinite. How to wear your scarves depends on the following factors: your matched dress, occasion, scarf texture, scarf shape, and more. The appropriate way is to know the basic skill to tie scarves first, such as how to fold scarves and some basic knot guide. You can find the tying instruction online with a video or photo guide or articles. Pick an appropriate way for yourself and experiment until you have a perfect match. Remember, you are your own fashion host. Popularity is not always for everyone and you should find your own fashion choice. As long as it matches well, you will win compliments from your family and your friends.
There are no standard code for fashion scarves on how to select scarves and how to wear scarves. Just check out your favorite scarves and play with them. You will find a right way for yourself and show your fashion favor with your own feature.

Get a kick out of leg wear this fall
Get a kick out of leg wear this fall.
The leg was a focal point on runways for fall, with embellished hose, textured tights and liquid legging.
"Legs are better than ever," says Sally Kay, president and CEO of The Hosiery Association. "And not just because there are so many styles, patterns and colors to choose from. The hosiery industry continues to keep a leg up on the latest fashion trends in tights, leggings, panty hose — and even socks."
In 2008, retail sales for the leg-wear industry amounted to a little more than $6.3 billion, according to NPD Market Research. Between July 2008 and July 2009, sales of women's socks were up 1.3 percent and sales of sheer leg wear down 4.7 percent, but the sales of tights increased by 13.5 percent.
"We didn't see many bare legs on the runway," Kay says. "What we did see were leggings that made a statement, from knits to textures to shine and shimmer. There were crystals, sequins and jewels, as well as a lot of cutouts and leather-inspired leg wear."
That's not a surprise in a slumping economy, when items such as lipstick and hosiery can make a woman feel good while not hurting her pocketbook, says Tracey Lomrantz, Slaves to Fashion blogger for Glamour.com.
"You can buy a nice pair of textured tights and turn clothes you already have into something that looks new and fresh," she says. "Tights also help transition from summer to fall into winter."
Make leg wear the centerpiece of the outfit when pairing it with a solid dress, Lomrantz says. For a bolder statement, combine faux-leather leggings with a long tunic. But make sure your derriere is covered. Some of the more aggressive styles are not for every body type, she cautions.
"You will see everything across the board, from zippers to leather and lace," says Charlotte Cameron, assistant accessories editor for Self magazine. "So, go ahead and rock this trend. It can be fun and can give your look a little bit of an edge."
Tights with a paisley print or some kind of embellishment can be fun, says Michael Carl, Allure magazine fashion editor. Or take a simple black shift dress and pair it with sequined knee socks and black pumps for a fantastic evening look, he says.
"The leg is definitely the focus for fall," says Gregg Andrews, fashion director for Nordstrom. "Women need something to warm their legs but to look fashionable at the same time." He suggests wearing leggings with short skirts, long tunic tops and shoe booties.
"There are so many choices in leg wear that it gives people an opportunity to find their leg-wear expression," says Alison Hessert, spokeswoman for HUE. "Fun leg wear is a trend that is across the board, and not just for girls 15 years old. There are so many ways to wear this trend that it fits the lifestyle of many women."
Check out the display window at The Pussycat in Squirrel Hill, where you'll find everything from lace hosiery made in Italy to a crocheted look from DKNY.
"You walk into a room wearing these, and you will definitely be making a statement," says Gail Gross, owner of The Pussycat. "One of these adds a whole new accent to an outfit. We have something for everyone, from those who want something with a print or lace to someone who just wants a black opaque or more of a subdued pattern. Or you may choose an opaque that shows some skin in between.
"Whatever your fashion personality, we have the leg wear to match."
What's hot in leg wear
Leggings: Leggings are the fashion world's latest obsession. Find them in everything from liquid leather to denim to velvet.
Colored opaques: Look for brilliant jewel tones such as sienna burnt orange, apple red and deep orchid.
Graphic patterns: Bold and graphic prints include ombre, tartan plaid and florals.
Cozy knits and textures: Sweater tights, over-the-knee socks and boot socks come in classic cables, flat ribs, tweeds and argyles. Leg warmers are chunky or flat-ribbed. Other textures include geometric openwork, intricate nets and one of fall's biggest trends: lace.
Sophisticated sheers: In addition to classic sheers, look for retro-inspired backseams and thigh-highs as well as patterned sheers and a fall must-have: tulle dot sheers.

Caring for your leg wear
• Buy the proper size. Each manufacturer is different. if you are in between sizes, go with the larger one.
• Take care when putting them on and taking them off.
• Don't wear jewelry while handling them, and be careful of rough spots on your hands, fingernails, toenails and the inside of your shoes.
• Put them on gently and smoothly, and don't pull them up too tight.
• When washing them, pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not use hot water or bleach.
• Use a hosiery bag or a pillow case in the wash, so they don't get caught on the zippers and buttons of other clothes.
• Don't wash with colors.
• To dry, roll pantyhose in a towel — never wring them to remove moisture — and hang them to dry. Never put them in the dryer.

Ageless Skin Secrets Uncovered In Using Resveratrol
Resveratrol is now being compared to the "fountain of youth" because of its anti aging benefits. Packed full of powerful antioxidants, resveratrol has now been given the attention it so deserves, although it has been around for centuries.
Its discovery came from the people living in the regions of France, China and Japan who are reported to have less cardiovascular diseases compared to other parts of the world. They report that they eat more berries in their diet, which includes the red grape, raspberries, mulberries, cranberries, blue berries and red wine.
Resveratrol turns out to be a very potent antioxidant and with it comes a host of health benefits such as the aiding and prevention of many diseases including cancer, diabetes, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease among others.
Studies on lab mice showed the same positive health benefits as man is experiencing with no reports of side effects on either side.
If you are on blood thinning medications be sure to ask your physician or pharmacist before starting resveratrol.
Women will love the anti aging benefits of resveratrol because every woman desires to look younger than she is. It contains powerful antioxidants for younger, healthier looking skin.
It can actually control aging of the skin cells and make wrinkles and age marks disappear! Resveratrol is also great for weight loss because the metabolism and energy is increased substantially.
Renowned Dermatologist, Dr. Nicholas Perricone says, "Antioxidants can impede and even repair the damage to skin cells that come with aging, and soft, radiant and younger-looking skin is the gratifying result."
Studies show that taking a daily dose of resveratrol supplements are equal to the health benefits found in 1,000 bottles of red wine! Think how this could change our heath care system, as we know it today.

Simple question, difficult answer!
When discussing "proof" in science a common phrase you will hear is "Anecdotal Evidence." Let's say I was having a conversation with my Uncle Bob about resveratrol:
"Uncle Bob, remember how I've always had trouble sleeping? Well, ever since I started taking resveratrol I've been able to sleep 8 hours per night!"
While the above statement may have actually occurred, and over the past 6 months I slept better, it does not mean resveratrol is what caused the better sleep habits. This would be considered anecdotal evidence.
In science, anecdotal evidence has been defined as:
o "information that is not based on facts or careful study"[2]
o "non-scientific observations or studies, which do not provide proof but may assist research efforts"[3]
o "reports or observations of usually unscientific observers"[4]
o "casual observations or indications rather than rigorous or scientific analysis"[5]
o "information passed along by word-of-mouth but not documented scientifically"
Anecdotal evidence can have varying degrees of formality. For instance, in medicine, published anecdotal evidence is called a case report, which is a more formalized type of evidence subjected to peer review.[6] Although such evidence is not regarded as scientific, it is sometimes regarded as an invitation to more rigorous scientific study of the phenomenon in question.[7] For instance, one study found that 35 of 47 anecdotal reports of side effects were later sustained as "clearly correct."[8]
Researchers may use anecdotal evidence for suggesting new hypotheses, but never as supporting evidence. (Source: Wikipdeia: Anecdotal Evidence Scientific Context
When it comes to resveratrol it is important we share any effects believed to be caused by consuming it. We just have to keep in mind there are many "other" factors that could have caused our particular experience. Diet changes, increase or decrease in stress, exercise, and other medications or supplements can all play a role in what we feel may be occurring in our bodies.
Most importantly placebo effect is important to be mindful of. If you start taking resveratrol then you are doing so because you hope to reap the potential benefits it can provide. This "hope" turns into placebo effect in many cases. I myself have fallen into the placebo effect category at times. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of a new supplement or diet.
So, does Resveratrol work?
Hard Proof Will Come When Human Studies Are Completed and Repeated!
We are probably still a few years away from a substantial amount of scientific evidence proving or disproving the benefits of resveratrol. For the anit-aging hopefuls, you may have to wait 50 or more years. For now we just need to keep an open mind, share our experiences, and focus on an overall healthy lifestyle.

6 Fall trends straight from the runways of NYC Fashion Week 2009
New York Fashion Week is over and the verdict is in on 2009's Fall trends. Every designer had their own original flares throughout their collections, but these six themes were recurrent in some of the world's top designer shows. Stay in style this Fall by following these irresistible looks, and adding your own twists:
1. Biker-Chic
There's nothing like dressing as if you could kick anyone's butt. Even if you cant. This look is all about (p)leather, metal accents like studs, chains and zippers, fringe and a tight fit.
To top it off: add a chunky platform, tons of bracelets and smokey eye make-up.

2. 40s Drama
Get glammed up movie-star style with clean shapes and figure-flattering, to-the-knee dresses. Capturing the true essence of this time period is all about the special textures: bows, feathers, tweed and fur.
To top it off: a sleek up-do and gloves pair perfectly for an elegant night out.

Valentino 2009, Photo by NYmag.com Jean P.Gaultier 2009,Photo by NYmag.com
3. All About the Shoulders
This season is seriously shoulder-heavy. A bold shouldered jacket is the must-have to finish any outfit, from jeans to shorts to dresses of all kinds. Stay away from jackets with shoulder pads that lose shape; choose structured, intricately-designed ones instead.
To top it off: skip the necklace and frame the face with large earrings to compliment the shoulders.

4. 80s Edge
This look is great as long as you remember there are parts of the 80s that should be left in the 80s (please, no leg warmers). Play up the asymmetrical arm, futuristic shapes, bold colors, band tees and yes, acid wash.
To top it off: add a clutch and a piece not associated with this period-don't want to look like you've stepped out of a time machine.

5. Peek-a-boo-bust
Tricky, but do-able. Find the right balance between sexy and TMI by wearing a nude camisole under sheer fabric or lace. If you're going for the cut-out look, make sure the cut pieces flatter the parts of your body they land on.
To top it off: metallic shoes and a tight ponytail will show these pieces off flawlessly.

6. Sequined Minis
Skip the plain mini and get out that old Bedazzler (well, maybe not). These sparkly numbers are a quick and easy way to dazzle at a party, out to dinner or if you just feel like showing off. Pair these with simple tights to keep warm in the cold weather.
To top it off: go easy on the jewlery and hair since there is already a lot going on. Try a solid-colored small bag in a different color.
